My first grader has been using this since September and it is now almost May. We love it. His containers show absolutely no sign of wear. It is very high quality. I don't like cheaply made things! The box is not a problem to open at all. Read the directions and show your child how to do it just once and he/she will be fine! The containers don't need lids and taking off too many lids is too time consuming for little kids with short lunch periods and too many lids just create clutter. Listen to the reviews from the people who have actually used the boxes for some time. They are so simple to use and they make preparing a healthy lunch fast and easy!

I've had my box for about a month. It's great fun and I really enjoy packing my lunch and figuring out what tidbits I'm going to put in. The one thing I don't love is that I somehow missed the fact that only the dipping container and one of the larger containers actually have lids and so the other three things have to either be "dry" items, or I have to wrap them in press n seal and also have to keep the box flat, making it hard to pack in a purse or backpack.

Fun for the kids, healthy for the environment, but maybe a little pricey for some folks. Would you save enough in disposable bags and wraps to justify the cost? Maybe... The accompanying guidebook has some very nice recipe ideas and certainly adds to the value.

The Laptop Lunch Bento Box has cheered up my lunches at work. I'm bringing more raw veggies too.
